Our liveries have full access to and use of all facilities at Abbotts View Livery.
Current Facilities Include:
A large tack room with shelves for storage, with your own allocated space.
Your own shelf in our 'Grooming Shed'
A large and secure yard area right outside the tracks/corrals, with 6 tie ups on rubber matting.
NEW - A 1st floor upstairs in the barn with room for more storage for rugs etc, and a chill out zone for liveries with chairs, a sofa, magazines and a balcony that overlooks the horses.
Use of two indoor stables in our floodlit barn, for farrier/vet visits or emergency use, and box rest.
The use of two surfaced pens with large all weather field shelters (NEW) that look out onto the yard and both tracks, for use as an alternative to stabled box rest or for use whilst grooming etc.
Onsite parking included, and trailer/lorry park (additional monthly charge)
Two onsite toilets (which are spotless!).
24 hour supervision as owners live on site, horses are checked at least twice a day.
CCTV and electric gates for maximum security.
Horse monitor CCTV supplied by Solar Equestrian for 24/7 eyes on the horses.
On-site Riding:
A selection of poles, jump wings, and cones for you to use.
On-site hacking track that runs around the perimeter of both track systems for safe and secure hacking
Use of our neighbouring 10acre field for hacking.
A mowed and marked out 20m x 40m grass dressage arena (Spring - Autumn use)
New for 2021 - A play field (with obstacles such as jumps, podium, etc.) COMING SPRING 2021
Use of any other paddocks for riding/ground work that are not currently occupied by livestock.
Off site riding/hacking:
Off-road hacking directly from the farm - bridlepath leading from the farm gates down a farm lane and into fields.
On-road hacking around the quiet village roads, which also lead to further scenic bridle paths.
Fantastic hacking at a variety of local woodlands: Aspley woods, Rushmere and Ashridge.
Local school for hire just 10 mins away at Wing Jumping and Dressage Centre.
A variety of local competition and training centres from 20-30 mins drive away: Bury Farm EC, Quantion Stud, Tring Gallops etc
Future development plans:
Sand pits for sleeping and rolling
Hardstanding extensions
A water feature (summer use only!) - no wet rugs!!
Aiming to plant various herbs and trees so that the horses can self select (we planted 200 in 2019)
and any other ideas that we/liveries come up with that would enrich the track!
